Feel the Beet!

Feel the Beet! (Grade 2, Moderately Difficult), begins with the cellos and basses playing a solid rock pattern. The violins and violas reinforce this pattern when they enter and then play the main melody.

The form is a little unusual and generally follows an A-A-B-B-A-A format. The repetitiveness of the form reinforces the different sections, and your students will quickly lock on and ‘Feel the Beet!’. All notes are within the 1st position for violin, viola, cello and bass.

Also included with the arrangement is a combination piano/lead sheet allowing students who play chordal instruments (like guitar and ukulele) to participate in your ensemble. A complete drum set part is included if you want to add a full rhythm section to enhance your group’s performance. The drum set notation is based upon the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) format.
